List of Items Needed/Not Needed

Food. We accept canned goods and non perishable food, as well as prepared food and fresh vegetables and fruit.  If you or your organization are planning a Food Drive for the Hearth, please call us first.  There are certain times of year, when we cannot manage a large food drive as once it is delivered, it must be sorted and put away and we are a very small staff.  There are also times of year when there are already annual food drives and for a time, our shelves are full.  There are other times, when we really need food.  Let us help you plan ahead.

Furniture.  it is especially important to call first if you have furniture to donate due to our limited storage space.  We always need beds, dining sets, bureaus, bookcases, end tables.  We can accept sofas in good condition when someone is close to moving out.  ALL furniture must be in good repair, as we have no way to restore or repair furniture.

Bedding.  Single bed sheet sets, blankets and comforters is our primary need, though we will accept double bedding.  We cannot take queen or king size.  

Towels

Small appliances in good working order.  Toasters, Microwaves, mixers, coffee pots.

Other house wares.  Sets of dishes, or glassware.  Tableware. 
We cannot accept knick knacks and miscellaneous items due to our limited space

Clothing.  We can only accept small amounts of seasonal clothing for women and children.  Please no clothing drives.
