The Newport County Shelter for Homeless Women
For the ninth consecutive year, a one-day-only designer wreath sale will benefit Lucy's Hearth. Proceeds from this important fundraising event support our transitional housing program which accommodates nine homeless women and their children while helping the mothers to work to stop chronic homelessness – by obtaining their GED, pursuing job training or going to work. The mothers also participate in parenting classes and receive financial counseling to learn how to budget money; when they move out of the shelter, follow-up support from the Hearth’s staff ensures continued success.
