Intake procedure
A telephone screening is conducted to determine a caller’s eligibility for shelter at Lucy’s Hearth. The best time to call for a screening is Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
To complete the intake procedure, we require all incoming residents to present photo identification upon moving in. It is also extremely helpful to present other supporting documentation including, but not limited to, birth certificates, Social Security cards, and any other identifying documents for all members of the family. That will enable us to assist the family in obtaining supportive services.
When moving in, we will also review our handbook with incoming residents as well as describe our program and on-site services.
